Post: CCSD For Two Hour District Wide Delayed Start For Thursday Morning Following VHS Game

The Chambers County School District is announcing plans to implement a delayed start for Thursday, March 2, 2023.  All schools in the district will have a two-hour delay on Thursday morning.  The purpose of the delayed start will be to provide everyone across the district the opportunity to support the Valley High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team in their Final Four State Championship Semi-Final appearance.

The Class 5A undefeated Valley Rams will make their appearance at the Legacy Arena in the BJCC located in Birmingham on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  The semifinal matchup is the last game on the slate for the day with game time set for 7:30 p.m. CST or 8:30 p.m. EST.  The Central Division VHS Champions are paired up against the Scottsboro Wildcats who were the winners of the Northeast Regional in Jacksonville.  This is the Ram’s first return trip to the Final Four since 2001.  It is our hope that all of Chambers County will be able to make it out to Birmingham to support one of our teams on Wednesday evening!  Please note that breakfast will not be served on Thursday morning.

Tickets can be purchased via the Legacy Arena at the BJCC’s Central Ticket Office or via Ticketmaster’s online platform at https://www.ticketmaster.com/ahsaa-basketball-state-finals-birmingham-alabama-03-01-2023/event/20005D810626C7A3
