Post: Amber Williams Cullifer Obituary

Amber Williams Cullifer, age 41, of Midland, GA, formerly of Valley, Al, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the early morning hours on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024.

Born in Opelika, AL on March 14th, 1983, she attended Lanett City Schools from kindergarten through 11th grade, then transferred to Valley High where she graduated in 2001. She attended Gupton Jones College of Funeral Services while being employed at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL.

Amber was a believer in the Christian Faith and raised in Lanett Nazarene Church where she was dedicated to the Lord.

She loved shopping, online and in stores. She was labeled the “bargain queen” because she could always find a good deal. Her greatest love was being a sports Mom and was always her kids’ biggest fan.

Amber is survived by her husband, Jayson Cullifer; and her three children, Sawyer, Khloie, and Saylor. She is also survived by her parents, Diane and Eddie Tingle and Johnny and Gail Williams; her sisters, Amy Williams Monk (Shea) and Olivia Williams (Ryan Bond); her nieces and nephews who she dearly loved, Skylar, Gabbi, and Slade; her step siblings, Steven Dembo (Rachel), Kelle Stokley (Jeremy), and Trey Tingle (Savannah); her father and mother-in-law, Gary and Donna Cullifer; grandmother-in-law, Jo Cullifer; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Penn and Resa Patterson, and Bob and Lorraine Williams.

Even as her illness progressed, Amber was still able to spread love, kindness, and laughter to her family and friends always giving them a reason to smile. She will be remembered by her greatest quality which was always thinking of others before herself. Amber lived a simple life and was always content and grateful for her many blessings.

The family would like to thank Columbus Hospice and the wonderful caregivers, Karen, Sheena, Ashley, Randi, Amber, Christy, and Micah who were all so loving and kind to Amber and her entire family.

Funeral services for Amber will be held on Saturday, June 29th, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The Reverend Gary Aldridge will officiate. Amber’s family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:30 PM (EDT) until the service hour at the funeral home.
