Post: Priscilla Mae (Mapp) Eubanks Obituary

Priscilla Mae Eubanks, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2024, in her residence of Lafayette, AL. Born on September 15, 1941, in Rockmills, AL, Priscilla’s eighty-two years of life were marked by an unwavering capacity for kindness and an extraordinary gift for nurturing beauty in every corner of her world and in the hearts of those she encountered.

Priscilla was the cherished matriarch of a family that blossomed from her boundless love. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her devoted daughter, Teresa Reynolds and her husband James, her beloved grandchildren, Bobby Moore and his wife Michelle, Robby Moore, Reba Estes, and Billy Gunn, along with her precious great-grandchildren, Hunter Moore (Hope Bridges), Autumn Moore, Fisher Moore, Kaitlin Davis, Winston Moman, Priscilla Blackburn, and Hannah Moore. Also mourning her passing is her dear niece, Janice Sprayberry, who held a special place in Priscilla’s heart.

A proud resident of her native Alabama, Priscilla’s roots ran deep into the red soil of her garden, which thrived under her attentive care. Each plant and flower stood as a testament to her love for the natural world. Priscilla’s artistic talents were as diverse as her beloved flora—she was an immensely talented artist, whose paintings captured the simple grace of rural life, and a master quilt maker, whose creations provided warmth and comfort, as well as a visual chronicle of her life’s journey.

The words “loving” and “kind” encapsulate Priscilla’s essence; her benevolence and gentle spirit were the cornerstone of her existence. Her creative touch left an indelible imprint not only on the canvases and quilts she crafted but also on the lives she so tenderly shaped.

As we bid farewell to Priscilla Mae Eubanks, we celebrate a life that was lived with intention and joy, a soul that exuded love, and a spirit that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Priscilla’s memory will be tenderly preserved within the garden of our hearts, eternally cherished and forever in bloom.
