On Saturday, The Village (Valley Community Outreach) and Tree of Life hosted their annual Holiday giveaway from the parking lot at the Valley Sportsplex next to the ball fields.
This year the Village teamed up with Tree of Life Incorporated along with sponsors Walmart, Amazon, Givorns, Bed Bath & Beyond & Kroger.
On Saturday, The Village (Valley Community Outreach) and Tree of Life hosted their annual Holiday giveaway from the parking lot at the Valley Sportsplex next to the ball fields.
Crowds began forming a little after 10:00 am for baby toys, strollers, dolls, bicycles, and other toys, furniture, household appliances, clothing, and other items.
We just want to serve. We have a great community, we have a great team, and it’s just a blessing to give back”, said Clint Gilder with the Village Group.
Jennifer Huguley with Tree of Life also expressed her gratitude to the community and partners for this amazing event.
The timing of the event could not have been better as the latest economic report shows the nation as well as our community in challenging times, to put it mildly.
Valley Councilman Henry Cooper and Councilwoman jumped in to help out with the event as well as so many others.
When asked about the turnout, Gilder replied, I could not be happier.
