On 05\/14\/2024 at approximately 1:39 PM the Lanett Police and EMS were notified of a male victim in the 1200 block of 1st Street whom had sustained a gunshot wound to the back. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sergeant Reaves arrived in the area and after a brief search located the victim at the rear of a residence. The victim was treated at the scene and a short time later air lifted to a regional trauma center with what was later determined to be <\/a><\/span>non-life threating injuries. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In the course of the investigation a residence in the 1300 block of 1st Street was discovered to have been struck by gunfire. None of the occupants of the home were injured.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Detectives of the Lanett Police Department are conducting an investigation into this incident. Persons with information pertaining to this incident are encouraged to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 334-644-5295 or Central Alabama Crimestoppers at 334-215-STOP.<\/span><\/div>\n
