OPELIKA, Ala. – Construction has begun on the City Hall remodeling project. Beginning on June 1, 2024 citizens will need to enter City Hall at the Avenue A <\/span><\/span>entrance. <\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/a><\/span>7h Street entrance will be closed for several months. There will also be a temporary wall constructed on the first floor that will have an impact on citizens when visiting the Revenue Department. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“We encourage citizens to do as much business as possible online,” said Mayor Fuller. *We had several citizens take advantage of our online options during the pandemic, and we hope that they can do so again during this period of time.” <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On July 1, 2024 demolition and constructions will begin on the public restrooms within City Hall. These restrooms will not be usable for approximately three months. There will be a portable restroom for public use located in a parking space just outside of the Avenue A entrance.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe apologize for any inconvenience you experience during our remodel,\u201d said Mayor Fuller. \u201cWe ask citizens to use caution when visiting City Hall.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

City Hall will return to normal operations as soon as the construction is complete.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
