VALLEY, Ala. (May 30, 2024) – The Chambers County Development Authority (CCDA) and City of<\/span><\/span>Valley are pleased to announce that Chick-fil-A\u00ae will be opening a new location in Valley, Alabama.<\/span><\/p>\n

The restaurant will be located at the intersection of US Highway 29 and 33rd Street. This project is a <\/span>collaboration between the Chambers County Development Authority, the City of Valley, New Urban <\/span>Development, LLC., and Chick-fil-A, Inc.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis is a tremendous opportunity for the City of Valley,\u201d Mayor Leonard Riley said. \u201cHaving a <\/span>community-oriented business such as Chick-fil-A is impactful in so many ways. Not only will our <\/span>citizens greatly benefit from this, but also our economy. This project has been years in the making. <\/span>We are thankful for all the hard-working individuals that helped make this happen and to Chick-fil-A <\/span>for choosing Valley.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“A lot of time and energy went into bringing this project to fruition,” said CCDA Executive Director <\/span>Chris Busby. “Chick-fil-A has long been a retail target for the CCDA and to see a restaurant come to <\/span>Chambers County is a testament to the hard work of our team.” <\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Busby praised many of those <\/span>involved in the project, including Mayor Riley and the Valley Council, the city\u2019s Planning and<\/span><\/div>\n
Development Department, utility partners at East Alabama Water, Sewer and Fire Protection <\/span>District and Alabama Power, and Bradshaw Chambers County Library Director Mary Hamilton and <\/span>their Board of Directors. He also expressed gratitude to the New Urban Development team for their<\/span><\/div>\n
efforts and desire to locate a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Valley.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chick-fil-A is known for creating a welcoming, remarkable restaurant experience, starting with <\/span>friendly service, a warm welcome and quality food, including the original<\/span>Chick-fil-A\u00ae <\/span>Chicken <\/span>Sandwich. Each restaurant is locally owned and operated, allowing Chick-fil-A Owner\/Operators to <\/span>serve as full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities. Once open, the new <\/span>Chick-fil-A restaurant will bring approximately 80-120 full and part-time jobs to the Valley <\/span>community.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe have been able to assist Chick-fil-A in the development of new restaurants in great markets <\/span>such as Valley since 2017,\u201d said New Urban Development Senior Development Manager Johnny <\/span>McCleskey.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis project has been in the works for well over a year, and we owe a great deal of <\/span>gratitude to all parties involved to make this a reality. Specifically, we\u2019d like to thank Chris Busby<\/span><\/div>\n
with the Development Authority and Mayor Riley for helping us get the project across the finish line.<\/span><\/div>\n

The project represents an investment of approximately $5,000,000 for the City of Valley. Details of the operation, including timeline and employment opportunities will be forthcoming.<\/span><\/div>\n
