Grant is part of more than $86 million given by Firehouse Subs Public Safety
\nFoundation to support safety across the U.S<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

OPELIKA, Ala. \u2013 Opelika Fire Department has been named a 2024 grant recipient
\nby Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation\u00ae, receiving $41,723 to ensure Opelika is
\nsafer than ever. The grant will be used to purchase Holmatro extrication tools for
\nthe department and will ensure our community is better prepared for emergencies.<\/span><\/p>\n

 \u201cWe are committed to helping organizations such as Opelika Fire Department
\ncontinue their lifesaving work. We are honored to be able to award this grant and
\ndo our part to ensure that Opelika is safer for everyone, including first responders,\u201d
\nsaid Robin Peters, Executive Director, of Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
\nThe extrication tools will be used to mitigate delays in the event of vehicle
\nentrapment incidents. This suite of tools sets the standard for battery-powered
\ntechnology, and it will be a vital additional resource for the department as it
\ncontinues to equip its first responders with the best life-saving equipment available. <\/span><\/p>\n
