On this date at approximately 2:00 PM <\/span><\/span>officers of the Valley Police Department<\/span><\/span> were dispatched to the area of Charter Drive and 20<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run accident. While responding<\/span><\/span>, officers learned that one of the vehicles involved <\/span><\/span>was a stolen vehicle and had just been chased by Harris County Deputies<\/span><\/span> and that they had terminated the chase upon reaching the Alabama <\/span><\/span>state line. While turning around to go back to <\/span><\/span>their<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>jurisdic<\/span><\/span>tion, deputies noticed that the <\/span><\/span>suspect vehicle had struck another vehicle on Charter Drive. The <\/span><\/span>driver of the second vehicle had minor injuries and was taken to EAMC<\/span><\/span>-Lanier for treatment. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span><\/span>he <\/span><\/span>driver<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>of the suspect vehicle was captured on 19<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> A<\/span><\/span>v<\/span><\/span>enue <\/span><\/span>a short <\/span><\/span>time later. <\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>he <\/span><\/span>driver was identified as a <\/span><\/span>16-year-old <\/span><\/span>juvenile of Five Points. <\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>he <\/span><\/span>vehicle he was driving was reported as being stolen ou<\/span><\/span>t of Roanoke. <\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>he <\/span><\/span>juvenile is being charged with Possession of Stolen Property 1<\/span><\/span>st<\/span><\/span>Degree<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span><\/span>he <\/span><\/span>juvenile was taken to EAMC-Lanier for treatment o<\/span><\/span>f injuries he sustained in the accident. <\/span><\/span>O<\/span><\/span>nce <\/span><\/span>he is released, he will be brought to the Valley Police Depart<\/span><\/span>ment for processing and then <\/span><\/span>will be taken to a juvenile intake facility. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
