MONTGOMERY- Last week several Chambers County leaders were invited to be part of the Governor’s Awards Luncheon as Alabama PALS ( People Against A Littered State) held their awards ceremony, and Chambers County was one of three Alabama counties receiving a Governor’s award. <\/div>\n

Alabama PALS is a 501 C-3 Not-for-Profit, a statewide organization dedicated to providing and implementing anti-litter programs for all Alabama counties, cities, communities, schools, and other groups striving to enhance their environmental and economic impact through a litter-free, cleaner, and more beautiful environment.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chambers County was recognized for outstanding achievement in keeping our county clean. An initiative so many worked hard on. From our local schools to county leaders, Chambers County exceeded expectations. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chambers County was also recognized for being one of two counties in the state having a grades K-3 poster contest winner, grades 4-6 poster contest winner, a clean schools contest winner, as well as having Adopt a Mile participation and being a county Governor’s award winner.<\/div>\n
