The East Alabama Fire Department responded to the <\/span><\/span>Express Oil Change on Friday evening regarding a fire at the new business in Valley. EAFD issued the following press release regarding the fire to the Chambers Ledger on Saturday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“East Alabama Fire District received the report of a structure fire at <\/span>the commercial business of Express Oil Change on<\/span> 20th <\/span>Ave.<\/span> in Valley around <\/span>8<\/span>:<\/span>45<\/span> <\/span>p<\/span>m <\/span>Friday<\/span> <\/span>night<\/span> 9\/<\/span>6<\/span>\/202<\/span>4<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

EAFD units arrived on the scene within minutes, to <\/span>find <\/span>heavy<\/span> smoke coming from the <\/span>business<\/span>. <\/span>Entry was made by crews and an interior<\/span> fire attack was initiated, and the fire was extinguished. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The structure received heavy <\/span>smoke<\/span> damage throughout<\/span>, with the fire damage contained in a small area of the business”, said EAFD Deputy Fire Chief<\/span> Jacob Geiger.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There were no injuries reported. <\/span>The cause is under investigation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
